Mid-Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to be part of our Qantas Hotels team.

About the role

Hooroo is looking for an enthusiastic mid- to senior-level Software Engineer to join the Qantas Hotels team.

This team is is focused on delivering an excellent experience for our customers while they search and book accomodation. As a part of this team you will be working on improving and modernizing a large and successful web application and carefully consolidating its core concerns into new services.

While we are looking for someone with solid front-end skills, our team offers an exposure to a variety of technologies going from JavaScript and CSS to continuous integration pipelines.

Skills

  • Considerable exposure to implementing customer facing web applications
  • Extensive hands-on experience with JavaScript (ES6)
  • Demonstrable experience developing in React
  • Fluency with HTML & CSS
  • Knowledge of browser capabilities and limitations
  • Solid exposure to Ruby

Nice to haves

  • UX design and implementation experience
  • Backbone/Coffeescript experience
